Mental Health Support

At St Werburgh’s we provide a range of mental health services for families and their children.

The mental health support team which is part of the NHS, come into school once a week to work with children who have been referred for extra support. You can request for this support for your child through school.

Brighter Horizons provide counselling and are in school weekly to meet with children, they are also available to support parents if needed. This service can be provided in school or over a telephone consultation. If you feel you or your child could benefit from counselling please see school.

We also have a dedicated member of staff who runs a program called ELSA, to nurture and help our children with their emotional regulation. This is completed over a six week course and children will receive on going support.

As always, you can find support in your local area for a range of needs through Family Toolbox on our parental support page.
